Record the shop is named after. Mind-blowing Detroit new wave from 1981. Essential!
Restock - stunning ambient- jazz LP featuring a host of collaborators from the vibrant L.A. jazz scene. Black vinyl edition.
Sa Pa's 3rd EP following releases on Marcel Dettman's MDR and last year's release on Australian label, Rosa. This builds on highly acclaimed album releases for the likes of Mana and Forum as well as a collaborative piece with Felix K, Marcell Dettman and Simon Hoffman for A-Ton under the moniker Rauch. This record builds on Sa Pa's reputation for lush dub techno soundscapes and can be played either as a whole as one complete piece or broken down into it's constituent parts. It also includes a locked groove edit created with Scott Monteith (Deadbeat) who also helped with post-production.The record was cut and mastered at Dubplate & Mastering by Helmut Erler.Part profits from the record will go to homeless charity Caring in Bristol.
Ace 5 Industrial / EBM / New Beat / Techno EP from Kris Baha on Power Station (Melbourne). Dark & heavy! After his Kinfolk released collab with Otologic's Nick Murrary, Kris Baha makes a welcome return to his Power Station creation. A versatile five track EP that will get you through the night, one pictures Yello's virgin ketamine experiments on 'Mind Your Head' before 'Jeff' comes to the party with his mad professor dub, giving you whiplash with its belting beats and crashing guitar stabs. Originally designed as an hour long opening score for the namesake Melbourne club night, 'Around You Go' is an edited warm up tool, the crossroad between Düsseldorf and Elettronica Meccanica. If issued in 1983, '2 Nights in Armenia' would have lived on as a Cosmic classic while 'Arp 2' is the listeners' exit music, a fork hanging from the power socket.
Brilliant contemporary jazz LP from Kamaal Williams and Yussef Dayes on Brownswood.
