Back in September 2016, Stefano Gentile published a photographic book entitled IL SILENZIO DEI TUOI PASSI (The Silence of Your Steps), which collected a series of 56 pictures dedicated to Venice at night. The book was a journey through the most remote "calli" and "campi" (streets, alleys and squares) in search of the true 'breath' of the city, far away from the hordes of tourists who 'attack' it every day during daylight hours.Gigi Masin composed a 30 minutes epic ambient track to the images included in the book. The track was published on CD and released bounded with the book itself in a limited edition of 480 copies only, and has been unavailable for years. In 2021, Gigi Masin returned to that great piece of music and now offers with this release a re-edited version of that soundtrack, accompanied by two unreleased tracks composed and recorded in the same period.Beauty.
Soul Jazz 3xLP comp released in conjunction with Tate Britain’s exhibition of the same name, exploring the links between Caribbean and British art and culture from the 1950s to now, focused on the most important Black British musical styles to emerge out of the distinctly Caribbean world of sound systems, spanning Roots Reggae, Jungle/Drum & Bass, Jazz-Funk, Lovers Rock, Jazz, Dubstep and more...
Brilliant contemporary jazz LP from Kamaal Williams and Yussef Dayes on Brownswood.
The shop was named after this record. Mind-blowing Detroit new wave from 1981. Essential!
Amazon-inspired deep house groovers, tropical ambient downtempo, a Detroit-infused cuts from Amsterdam producer and Rush Hour affiliate - Relmer.
Fortuna Records reissue of a mid-80s early electronica LP by keyboardist Raviv Gazit. Composed entirely on the Synclavier synthesiser in the basement of the Tel-Aviv University in 1985. Gazit was ahead of his time composing cold yet blissful electronic music for film and theatre which he later released as an album. Holds the killer oddball jam 'Room 308'. Check!
